AMF Panels

AMF Panels in Hyderabad

Automatic Mains Failure (AMF) panels start your diesel generator the moment grid supply fails, transfer the load to the DG once it is up to speed, and hand it back to mains when normal supply returns – then run the generator down on a cooling cycle and shut it off. The whole sequence happens without an operator. Each panel is matched to your DG set and load, built with interlocked switching and tested before despatch.

Role of AMF Panels in Standby Power Systems

A standby generator is only useful if it starts when it is needed. An AMF panel constantly monitors the mains supply; when it fails or goes out of limits, the controller cranks the DG set, checks that voltage and frequency are stable, and only then transfers the load.

When the grid returns and stays healthy for a set time, the panel moves the load back to mains and lets the generator run unloaded to cool down before stopping it. Engine protections shut the DG down safely if anything goes wrong, and every event is logged for your maintenance team.

We select the controller, contactors or breakers, and cabling to suit your generator rating and load profile, so the system starts reliably, changes over cleanly and protects your engine for years.

Applications of AMF Panels Across Industries

Our AMF panels bring hands-free standby power to any site that relies on a DG set.

  • Hospitals and healthcare facilities
  • Apartments, villas and gated communities
  • Commercial buildings, offices and banks
  • Factories and industrial units
  • Telecom sites, data centres and server rooms
  • Hotels, schools and institutions

Why Choose AMF Panels
Benefits of an AMF Panel
01Hands-free power backup

The DG starts, takes the load and shuts down again without anyone being on site.

02Protects your generator

Built-in engine protections stop the DG safely on low oil pressure, high temperature or overspeed.

03Fast restoration of supply

Standby power is back within seconds of a mains failure, keeping critical loads running.

04Lower fuel and wear

Cooling cycles and timed shutdowns avoid unnecessary running hours and engine wear.

05Clear monitoring

LCD display and event log show mains, DG and load status at a glance.

06Safe, interlocked changeover

Interlocking ensures mains and generator are never connected together.

Why Choose Us?

Reliable. Efficient. Generator-Ready.

We do not just connect a controller to a generator – we engineer the complete start, transfer and shutdown sequence around your DG set and load. With proven AMF controllers, quality switchgear and full functional testing, your backup power works the first time, every time.

⚡Matched to your DG set rating and load profile
⚡Proven AMF controllers and quality switchgear
⚡Fully tested start, transfer and shutdown sequence

Common Questions About AMF Panels

What is an AMF panel?
An Automatic Mains Failure panel detects a power cut, starts the diesel generator automatically, transfers the load to it, and switches back to mains and stops the generator once the grid supply returns.
How is an AMF panel different from an ATS panel?
An ATS panel only switches the load between two sources. An AMF panel also controls the generator – starting, monitoring and stopping it – so it gives a fully automatic standby system.
How long does it take for the DG to take the load?
Typically 10 to 30 seconds, depending on the start delay, the engine and the time it takes to reach stable voltage and frequency. Timers are adjustable to suit your site.
Can an existing generator be fitted with an AMF panel?
Yes. Most DG sets can be retrofitted. We check the engine controls and sensors and supply a panel matched to your generator.
What maintenance does an AMF panel need?
A weekly or monthly test run, periodic checks of the battery and charger, and an annual inspection of the controller settings, contactors and terminations.
